Terms & Conditions

By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are designed to ensure a smooth, reliable, and respectful experience for both you and Lavender Lane Laundry.

Scheduling & Cancellations

  • Standard turnaround times (typically 24–48 hours) will be communicated during scheduling and may vary based on load size and service volume.

  • Same-Day Cancellation Fee: A $10 fee applies to cancellations made on the same day as scheduled pickup.

  • Service Cancellation by Us: If we must cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at your convenience.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is required prior to or at the time of scheduled pickup, unless otherwise discussed.

Scheduling & Cancellations

  • Damage Disclaimer: We are not responsible for:

    o Damage to garments

    o Lost/missing garments 

    o Stains that do not come out during washing

    o Items left in pockets (e.g., pens, gum, receipts)

  • Washing & Drying Standards:

    o All clothes are washed on cold using free & clear detergent

    o All clothes are dried on medium heat using a free & clear dryer sheet

    o Clothes will not be separated by color unless discussed and agreed upon in advance

    o Any changes to this must be discussed and agreed upon in advance

  • Hanger Service:

    o If you request clothes to be hung, you must provide a separate bag filled with

    hangers at pickup

    o Hung clothes will be returned in a plastic garment bag, unless otherwise discussed

    and agreed upon

Pickup & Drop-off Instructions

  • Pickup Preparation:
    o Clothes must be placed on your porch in a tied, standard 13-gallon trash bag with no rips or tears

  • Return Packaging:
    o Clothes will be returned in a clear plastic bag, unless otherwise discussed

Inventory

  • Customer Responsibility:
    o Please count your items before sending them to ensure you receive the correct number back

  • Our Process:
    o While we conduct an inventory check upon inspection, the customer’s initial count is considered the primary reference in the event of a discrepancy

Prohibited Items ​​​

For the health and safety of our staff and clients, Lavender Lane Laundry does not accept items that are excessively soiled or contaminated with biohazardous materials, including but not limited to:

  • Blood

  • Oil

  • Bugs (of any kind)

  • Chemicals

  • Mold

  • Hazardous Fluids or substances of any kind

  • Urine

  • Fecal Matter

Normal household laundry is welcome, including baby and children’s clothing with routine, washable messes (such as food spills or diaper leaks), provided solids have been removed and items are reasonably safe to handle.

Exceptions

On a case-by-case basis, determined by severity and individual situation, we may accept items with accidental contamination (such as urine or fecal stains) for an additional sanitization fee. This must be discussed and agreed upon in advance.​

​Service Refusal

To protect the safety of our team and maintain service quality, we reserve the right to refuse or return any items deemed unsafe or unsanitary upon inspection service when necessary, including in cases of unsafe pickup conditions, improperly bagged items, or repeated violations of these terms.

Additional Fees

  • Same-Day Cancellation Fee: $10

  • Sanitization Fee: A sanitation fee may apply to items with minor, accidental contamination (such as urine or fecal staining) that require additional handling, pretreatment, or safety measures. Fees are assessed case by case and only apply to items that are safe and reasonably launderable. Items deemed excessively soiled or unsafe may be refused in accordance with our Health & Safety policy.

  • Pet Hair Fee: An additional fee may apply for items with excessive pet hair requiring extra time or cleaning.

​ Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and hygienic environment for everyone.

Gift Cards

  • Gift Card Purchases: Gift cards may be purchased for any available service amount and do not expire.

  • Non Refundable: All gift card sales are final. No refunds will be issued for purchased or partially used gift cards.

  • Transferability: Gift cards may be transferred to another individual but must be presented at the time of service.

  • Redemption: Gift cards can be applied toward any standard service. They cannot be redeemed for cash or used to pay additional fees unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon.

  • Lost or Stolen Cards: We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards.

Changes to Services & Pricing

We reserve the right to update services, pricing, or policies at any time. Updates will be communicated via our website or direct customer contact. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
